___About
Sarah King works with wood, bioresin and precious metals to make sculptural, contemporary jewellery. Playing with spatial structures and sensual forms they range from a relaxed everyday collections to large transformative statement pieces much loved by collectors and women with a strong sense of style. She is a pioneer in the use of Bioresin - an eco material of sophisticated chemistry made from sunflower seed oil. Since 2000 her refined sense of form belies the technical challenges of working in resins and her hollow spatial forms in bioresin, silver and laser welded gold have become signature pieces. Sarah’s work is sold around the world in galleries and boutiques and her one-off pieces have won many awards and are held in public collections in the UK, Germany and the USA. She teaches bespoke specialist jewellery classes and also takes commissions. ___Public Collections Crafts Council The British Council CraftBox Shropshire County Council & Bilston Gallery Maryland Institute of Art, USA Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg |
